The Wellington Cable Car runs from Lambton Quay in the heart of the central business district to and the top entrance of the Wellington Botanic Gardens. One of Wellington’s oldest & most popular tourist attractions the journey under the corporate towers of The Terrace, past Kelburn Park and Victoria University to the top of Upland Road where the Carter Observatory, Planetarium, Cable Car Museum and Lookout, with its magnificent lookout over the City and harbour are located.
